19-Year-Old Killed in Greensboro Shooting

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 19-year-old man is dead, and two people are facing charges following a deadly shooting in Greensboro on Sunday.

Police responded around 3:30 p.m. to the Citgo gas station at the corner of West Friendly Avenue and North Lindell Road, where they found the young man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators quickly identified two suspects in the case. On Monday, Greensboro police announced the arrests of 21-year-old Derrick McLaurin and 19-year-old Ty’Kymir McLean. Both are facing charges related to the shooting.

Authorities have not released the name of the victim at this time, and the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
