ROCKINGHAM COUNTY,N•C ( WGHP)- Two individuals has been charged in Rockingham County after shots were fired at juveniles in a vehicle and during a home invasion.
David Lenzie purgason Jr. A 34 year old of walnut cove, and Brittany Leigh Watkins,a 32 year old of walnut cove, were arrested as well.
2 of the arrested suspects are charged with crimes and are under secured bond.
The suspects, linked to a September 13 incident in Stoneville, are accused of shooting into an occupied vehicle. Purgason Jr was charged with;
First burglary
Robbery with a dangerous weapon
Assault with deadly weapon.
Possession of a firearm by a conviction felon.
Watkins was charged with first burglary and larceny after B&ET
They were arrested prior to the shooting which occur on the 25th of September. Purgason Jr is under a $1,002,000 secured bond while Brittany Leigh Watkins is under a $500,000 secured bond.
Authorities are still searching for a third suspect, Robbie Wayne Hicks,a 34 year old of Mayodan, who has an outstanding warrant related to the home invasion. Anyone who has information on Robbie Wayne whereabout should contact the Rockingham county crime stoppers.
