
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Three people lost their lives in a residential house fire early Saturday morning in eastern North Carolina, according to Perquimans County Emergency Services.
Fire Reported on Harvey Point Road
The fire occurred in the 1900 block of Harvey Point Road in Hertford. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene Saturday morning, where they discovered a home engulfed in flames.
Authorities confirmed that three individuals were pronounced dead as a result of the fire.
Two People Survived the Fire
The Perquimans County Sheriff’s Office said two people were able to escape the home and survived the incident. Their conditions have not been released.
Deputies from the Perquimans County Sheriff’s Office remain on scene as investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the fire. The North Carolina State Fire Marshal’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are assisting, along with several other emergency response agencies.
