7-Year-Old Boy Missing in Asheboro

ASHEBORO, N.C. — Authorities are continuing the search for a missing 7-year-old boy in Asheboro who disappeared on Sunday evening, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.

The child, identified as Liam A. King, was last seen in the area of Forest Hills Drive in Asheboro after reportedly walking off. Deputies say he suffers from cognitive impairments and is non-verbal, making the search especially urgent.

Description of the 7-Year-Old Boy Missing in Asheboro

Liam is described as standing about 3 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 55 pounds, with shoulder-length brown/black hair and brown eyes.

At the time he went missing, he was wearing:

  • A light blue, black, and gray Nike sweatshirt
  • A gray Nike t-shirt
  • Black sweatpants
  • Blue Sonic socks
  • Tan tennis shoes

A Public Safety Alert was issued Sunday night to help locate the missing 7-year-old boy in Asheboro. Deputies have urged the public to be cautious, noting that Liam may run away if approached.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who sees Liam or has information about his whereabouts to call 911 immediately.
