Following their official X account the Greensboro coliseum will be identify as first horizon coliseum after selling the naming rights to the complex.This announcement was made on October 1, 2024, marking a significant change for the iconic venue, which has hosted numerous events over the years. First horizon bank was founded and headquartered in Memphis Tennessee.
Greensboro will certainly be impacted through first horizon.
The contract between the first horizon bank and oak view group will last for decade, this collaboration will also save the city financial aspect. Williams Todd the first horizon bank triad market president said ” I think it’s really about brand awareness. At first we’ve had a handful of brands with bank mergers to reinforce our organization…. Greensboro city leaders believe with Oak view group as the venue’s operation and first horizon as it’s naming rights partner. This brand will progress as an entertainment center and will begin to attract events that generate and worth millions of dollars.
