North Carolina Shooting: 13-Year-Old in Critical Condition; Man Struck by Stray Bullet

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WNCN) – A North Carolina shooting incident on Friday night has left a 13-year-old boy in critical condition and a 30-year-old man injured by a stray bullet. Police were called to the 1800 block of Lynne Avenue at approximately 8:53 p.m. following reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the juvenile victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition as of Saturday afternoon, according to the Rocky Mount Police Department.

Just one minute later, police received another call regarding a shooting on the 1600 block of Kings Circle. There, they found the adult victim, who was also treated for a gunshot wound. Fortunately, he was released from the hospital later that day.

Ongoing Investigation

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this North Carolina shooting. The police are actively investigating both incidents and are urging anyone with information to come forward. The community is on high alert as these events raise concerns about safety and gun violence in the area.
