A teens girl Volunteer as dispatcher for western North Carolina police officer.

 

AVERY COUNTY, NC. (WGHP)          A 17-year-old girl in Avery County, North Carolina, has stepped up as a volunteer dispatcher for the local police department amid staffing shortages due to Hurricane Helene.

The teens  girl whose name was Lily Flores is volunteering as a dispatcher for the banner  Elk police department. Flores said she’s ready to sacrifice anything that will help  the community, most especially in the communication aspects, Flores a selfless being, cherished and admire what she  does. The Banner Elk Police Chief praised her initiative, highlighting the importance of community support during emergencies. This young volunteer is assisting officers who are stretched thin while responding to the needs of hurricane victims.
