ASHEBORO,N•C (WGHP)- A 15-year-old driver from Asheboro was tragically killed in a single-vehicle crash on October 23, 2024.The victim whose name is Adrian Jimenez was driving north on US 220 business in a 2008 ford expedition SUV, crossed the centerline went off the road to the left, crashed into a tree and overturned the SUV.

Jimenez died at the scene as a result of the injuries he got from the crash, he was the only one in the SUV and Trooper says It isn’t legal for anyone at that age to operate on a vehicle without a vehicle licensed present.
The accident occurred when the vehicle struck a tree, leading to the teenager’s death, as confirmed by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. The incident has deeply affected the local community, with family and friends mourning the loss.
