Greensboro, NC — The family of an 84-year-old man is demanding answers after he was injured when he left a local care facility Tuesday night. Police say the man wandered from the Green Haven Health and Rehab facility on Green Haven Drive and was found injured at a nearby apartment complex.

He was hospitalised with injuries that officials have described as serious but not life-threatening.

Greensboro Police Department is investigating the incident, and investigators say they are reviewing surveillance video and speaking with facility staff and witnesses to understand how the elderly resident wandered away and what happened afterwards.
