GREENSBORO, N.C. — Core Technology recently wrapped up its second summer session of the free Molding Kids for Success STEM camp designed to get local students excited about science, technology, engineering, and math. The camp combines classroom experiments with real-world manufacturing experiences to build confidence and spark interest in STEM careers.
Led by CEO Geoff Foster, the program offers hands-on activities like polymer experiments and tours of Core Technology’s advanced manufacturing floor. Foster said, “By the end of the week, students gain scientific confidence and see how what they learn applies in real life.
“A lot of these students come from families that couldn’t afford a STEM camp, so we cover all costs to give back and pay it forward,” said Geoff Foster, CEO of Core Technology Molding Corporation. “Our engineers and toolmakers volunteer their time because they’re passionate about shaping the next generation.”

Core Technology, known for creating plastic molds for brands like HondaJet and Toyota, welcomed 20 campers onto its manufacturing floor to see STEM in action. Seventh grader Jamian Carrion said, “It’s cool how they program the robot so precisely to make exactly what’s needed.” Each camper also got a custom-engraved aluminum nameplate as a keepsake.
This was the final “Molding Kids for Success” camp this summer, but Core Technology will host student tours during Manufacturing Month in October.
