
Winston-Salem, N.C. — Police are investigating a deadly shooting that left a 62-year-old man dead late Tuesday night.
According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, officers were dispatched just before 10 p.m. to the 300 block of Gregory Street following reports of gunfire.
When they arrived, they discovered Marco Antonio Salazar Cano, 62, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel transported him to a nearby hospital, but he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators Call Case “Isolated”
Detectives believe the shooting was an isolated incident and emphasized that there is currently no threat to the broader community. However, authorities have not released any information about a possible suspect or motive.
