4-Year-Old Shot in Greensboro on Saint Matthew Court

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 4-year-old shot in Greensboro on Saint Matthew Court earlier this month is now in a coma, according to his family. The Greensboro Police Department confirmed that officers responded to the incident around 9:40 p.m. on September 2.

When officers arrived at Saint Matthew Court, they learned a young boy had been struck by a bullet. His family told FOX8 that he was hit on the right side of his head and is now fighting for his life. Loved ones say they are heartbroken and praying for a miracle while calling on the shooter to come forward.

Authorities have not released information about a suspect or possible motive. No arrests have been made at this time.

Neighbors in the area say the incident has shaken the community. Resident Tara Rogers expressed her frustration, noting that this is not the first time violence has happened near her home.

“It makes me uneasy. I hope they find who did it. I hope someone says something,” Rogers said. “I’m moving in two weeks. I’m selling my house. I’m not comfortable.”
