GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A crash closes all lanes of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive between Alamance Church Road and Interstate 40 in Greensboro, according to a news release from the Greensboro Police Department.
Authorities say the accident led to the closure of all lanes in the affected area, as well as the I-40 westbound exit to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Police confirmed that no injuries have been reported at this time.
The crash also resulted in downed power lines, prompting officials to notify Duke Energy, which is currently working to restore service and ensure the area is safe.
Currently, there is no estimated time for when the road will reopen. The Greensboro Police Department is urging motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while crews work to clear the scene and repair the damaged lines.
