19-Year-Old Girl Found Dead After Jumping into Tuckertown Reservoir

The community has been left in shock at the touching moment whereby a 19-year-old girl was found dead at the Tuckertown Reservoir in New London, Stanly County. Montgomery Emergency Services had set up a search Friday evening for the young lady who jumped into the reservoir and did not surface.

It all began in the 36800 block of N.C. 49, where emergency crews mobilised to help recovery efforts. Even with the best response time, it ended tragically, as the search for the little girl’s body ended later that evening.
