Crash on I-73 South Causes Major Traffic

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A crash on Interstate 73 South caused significant traffic delays during the Thursday morning commute in Greensboro, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

The crash occurred near Mile Marker 104, close to Exit 104 for West Friendly Avenue. NCDOT officials said the right two lanes of I-73 South were closed, contributing to heavy congestion in the area.

Video from the scene showed substantial traffic buildup stretching along I-73 South and spilling back onto Interstate 840, impacting drivers across multiple routes.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes and allow extra travel time while crews work to clear the roadway.
