(QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Concord police are investigating the death of an 18-year-old woman who was found deceased Monday evening after being reported missing over the weekend.
Timeline of Disappearance
Police say Yadira Castro, 18, left her home on Saturday, January 31, to spend time with a friend and was expected to return by 8 p.m. According to her parents, she was last seen leaving her friend’s residence on Pine Street NW around 10:30 p.m. and spoke with family by phone at approximately 10:50 p.m.
When Castro did not return home, her parents reported her missing around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 1. Concord Police immediately launched an investigation, interviewing friends and family and reviewing available surveillance footage. Video later showed Castro walking near Academy Avenue NW and Glenn Street NW at 12:27 a.m. Sunday.

Body Found Monday Evening
The search resumed early Monday, and Castro was found deceased around 5:30 p.m., according to police.
