Amtrak train crashes vehicle on the track in North Carolina

GREENSBORO,N.C (WGHP)-An Amtrak train collided with a vehicle on Hilltop Road in Greensboro, North Carolina, around 6:50 PM on November 29, 2024. This happened when the Amtrak train was traveling from Charlotte to Raleigh, accidentally the train struck the vehicle at milepost 290.35.

Amtrak train crashes led to some roads closed in North Carolina

This incident has led to the closure of some roads in North Carolina Suburbs, some areas includes, Hilltop Road in which both directions between Pennoak Road and Cromwell Road are blocked. Fortunately, there was no one in vehicle when the incident occur, nor is there any reported injuries among the passengers or crew on the train. It is advisable for the drivers to find an alternative route and be alert if driving in such area.

The Amtrak Police is currently working things out by actively cooperating with the local law enforcement. This is an upcoming story, more updates might appear soon.
