Brian Clarey a triad city beat editor involved in a crash accident.

On August 30th, Brian Clarey the publisher and executive editor of triad city beat, along with his wife Jili and their son Ross, were involved in a serious car accident, when their SUV collided with an 18 wheeler while traveling to Boston.

Fortunately, all the three family members survived but sustained significant injuries, including multiple broken bones.

They are currently hospitalized in Charlottesville Virginia, where they are undergoing surgeries and facing a long recovery process. I wish the Brian’s family a speed recovery.

The community rallied to support the Clarey family raising over $65,000 through a GoFundMe campaign to help cover medical expenses. Brian expressed his gratitude for the support, while acknowledging the emotional toll of seeing his family injured. One of Brian’s colleague named “SayakaMatsuoka” and managing editor makes a good recommendation about him, saying “He is really seen the ups and downs and growth in the triad city and cares very deeply about journalism. This tells us that Clarey is a competent and a reliable person. He significantly impacted the local community through his work at triad city beat. The family’s are currently in Charlottesville hospital taking proper treatment.

The bad aspect of this incident is that, Jili took the burnt of the crash and sustained Severe injuries, in which she’s expected to spend three to six months in a rehabilitation facility. Although her brain is fine and she’s doing well too. Alongside is Jili’s twin sister “Jodi” who has been looking after her sister at the hospital since the incident.

Despite the accident, triad city beat continues, its operation with Brian’s colleague, managing daily editorial tasks in his absence.
