Trump Hosts Campaign Rally at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A lively crowd turned out as former President Donald Trump held a campaign rally at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro on Saturday, marking his second visit to the city in a month. Supporters, many wearing signature red MAGA hats and Trump gear, gathered at the venue as early as Friday night to show their support.

Todd Rice, a local attendee, shared his enthusiasm, saying, “I just wanted to be in the atmosphere. I’ve seen the Trump rallies, and I wasn’t going to miss it this time.”

Campaign Rally at First Horizon Coliseum Focuses on Key Issues

Republican Representative Richard Hudson attended the rally and shared why so many supporters are drawn to Trump’s campaign. “Donald Trump addresses the issues that people care about: inflation, economic prosperity, and safety,” Hudson stated, referencing rising inflation rates and concerns many North Carolina families are facing.

Many in attendance also discussed their top concerns: border security, healthcare, and the economy. David Wails, a local truck driver, voiced his frustration over high gas prices, saying, “I’m tired of paying three bucks for gas, especially when I’m out here working every day.”

Supporters Emphasize Economic and Social Issues

Several supporters emphasized economic concerns and free speech, noting their support for Trump’s stance on the First Amendment and healthcare as a major part of the economic picture. “My number one issue is the economy,” said supporter Cat Costa, highlighting how intertwined healthcare costs are with financial stability.

During his speech, Trump addressed recent local issues like the impacts of Hurricane Helene on Western North Carolina and FEMA’s response. He promised significant changes if re-elected, including a stronger economy, border security, and job retention.

“America will be bigger, better, bolder, richer, safer, and stronger than ever before,” Trump vowed, urging his supporters to get out and vote as early voting closed in North Carolina.

The crowd’s enthusiasm reflected strong Republican turnout for early voting, setting the stage for high stakes as North Carolina voters prepare for Election Day on November 5.
