Elon Musk offering voters $1M a day to sign petition; Does this constitute US election interference?

(AP)- Elon Musk, Founder of Tesla and space X and owner of X is offering $1 million daily to registered voters in swing states who sign a petition supporting First and Second Amendment rights, initiated by his PAC, America PAC. This initiative, running until November 5, aims to encourage voter participation ahead of the presidential election. Musk is pledging to giveaway $1million a day to voters for signing his political action committee’s petition backing the  constitution, he awarded a cheque during an event on Saturday in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to a man named John Dreher, he also gave out another cheque on Sunday.

However, legal experts have raised concerns about its legality, suggesting it may violate laws against incentivizing voter registration or voting. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro has called for an investigation into potential election interference related to this cash giveaway.

Musk America PAC has launched a tour of Pennsylvania, a critical election battleground, he’s aiming to register voters in support of Trump, Whom Musk endorsed.

Federal election commissioner has permitted campaigns and so-called super PACs  candidate to work together in certain cases, including working out the vote efforts.
