Family Justice Centre

Fire broke out on Sunday evening, July 6, at the Guilford County Family Justice Centre on South Greene Street in Greensboro. The incident happened around 7:30 p.m., prompting a swift response from the Greensboro Fire Department.

Fire crews arrived on the scene shortly after the alarm was raised and quickly brought the flames under control. According to officials, the fire was located inside the building, though the exact cause remains under investigation. After putting out the blaze, firefighters worked to ventilate the structure and remove smoke that had filled several parts of the centre.

There were no immediate reports of injuries. However, the extent of the damage to the building has not yet been made public. Emergency personnel remained on-site late into the evening to ensure the area was safe and to assess any potential hazards.

The Guilford County Family Justice Centre serves as a vital resource for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other serious crimes. With the building now closed off for safety evaluations, it’s unclear when normal operations will resume.
