Michael David Evans, a former employee of summerfield charter academy, who has been charged with multiple sex crimes, has made a court appearance on September 3, 2024.
Michael was charged with multiple sex crimes, including voyeurism and indecent liberties involving students.
The 40-years old culprit,was arrested on 31 August and he is facing eight counts of engaging in indecent liberties and eight counts of convertly observing a room occupied by female student, the security footage reveals, how Evans allegedly caught, using his cell phone to take the pictures up the skirts of his eighth grade students while they walked up the stairs. The victims are of aged 13-14 years old.

During the court session , it was revealed that the convert observation charge is classified as a class H felony, potentially leading to maximum of three years in prison for each count. The indecent liberties charge is a class G felony with the maximum penalty of four years per count.
Michael has been assigned a public defender and the investigation is ongoing with the Guilford county sheriff’s office actively involved.
