GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 40-year-old man from High Point is facing more than 20 felony charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor, according to court records.
Authorities say Alex Dean Reedom, 40, was arrested on Monday and charged with 21 counts of felony third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Court documents indicate the charges stem from alleged possession of illegal material involving children.
Court Records Detail Alleged Materials
According to the arrest warrant, Reedom is accused of possessing what investigators describe as “apparent child sexual abuse material.” The materials allegedly include visual representations depicting underage children engaged in sexual activity.
Officials have not released further details about how the materials were discovered or how long the investigation had been ongoing.

Jail records show Reedom is currently being held on a $1.2 million secured bond. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Tuesday, where additional information about the case may be presented.
