Juvenile on Bicycle Killed After Multi-Car Crash

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. (WGHP) — A juvenile on bicycle was killed after a multi-car crash early Sunday morning in Holly Springs, according to the Holly Springs Police Department.

The fatal collision happened around 1:40 a.m. on Avent Ferry Road near Holly Meadow Drive, involving two vehicles and a bicyclist.

Police said a 2008 Honda Civic and a 2021 Honda Passport were the two vehicles involved in the crash. The driver of the Civic and a passenger in the Passport were both taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Juvenile on Bicycle Killed After Multi-Car Crash

Tragically, the juvenile bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, officers confirmed.

Authorities closed Avent Ferry Road in both directions for several hours as investigators processed the scene. The road has since been reopened.

The Holly Springs Police Department has not released the victim’s identity, and the investigation remains ongoing.
