Man Arrested in North Carolina Shooting

LUMBERTON, N.C. — A man was arrested following a shooting incident late Monday morning that left a 36-year-old man injured in Lumberton.

Lumberton police responded to a report of a shooting at around 11:45 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Elm Street. Upon arrival, officers found a man who had been shot in the leg. Emergency Medical Services treated the victim at the scene before he was transported to a medical facility. Details about his condition are currently unavailable.

Man Arrested After Short Search

Authorities conducted a brief search in the area and quickly located the suspect, identified as 26-year-old John Ethan Hendren of Lumberton. He was taken into custody without any issues and is now being held at the Robeson County Detention Center awaiting his court appearance.
