Authorities say Charles Boatwright, 55, was released from the Mecklenburg County Jail in Charlotte around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Less than 24 hours later, the Baltimore Police Department announced that Boatwright is wanted in connection with a July 13 homicide in Baltimore.
Records show that Boatwright had been held in North Carolina as a fugitive from another state since July 16, under a $7.5 million bond, before being released.
Baltimore Police are urging anyone with information about Boatwright’s location to contact detectives at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
