PINEVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A massive apartment fire in Pineville has left around 40 people without homes, as multiple agencies in Mecklenburg County responded to the emergency. The fire occurred on the 10000 block of Oakbrook Drive, impacting several residences and causing significant disruption in the area.

Quick Response to the Massive Apartment Fire

The Pineville Fire Department quickly brought the massive apartment fire under control, taking less than 40 minutes to extinguish the flames. Eight apartments suffered damage, and approximately 40 residents were displaced, though fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

Assistance for Displaced Residents

Due to the impact of the massive apartment fire, the American Red Cross is providing assistance to the displaced families. Meanwhile, Pineville Police have closed the entrance to Oakbrook Drive, and Johnston Road has experienced significant traffic delays.
