
GREENSBORO, N.C. — A woman is alive today thanks to the quick actions of two neighbors who spotted flames coming from her home early Saturday morning, according to the Graham Fire Department.
Two Young Neighbors Alert Woman as Fire Spreads
The fire broke out around 6:30 a.m. on Williamsdale Road in Graham. Fire officials say two young men who live nearby noticed smoke and flames coming from the home. Without hesitation, they rushed to alert the woman inside, giving her the precious moments she needed to escape safely.
“There is no doubt their heroic efforts saved a life this morning,” the Graham Fire Department said in a Facebook post.

Graham firefighters arrived shortly after the call, supported by a wide response team that included:
