Man Charged in Deadly New Year’s Day Motorcycle Crash on Guilford College Road

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Jamestown man was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV on New Year’s Day, and another man now faces multiple charges, according to the Greensboro Police Department.



Crash Reported on Guilford College Road

Police say officers responded around 4:14 p.m. Thursday to the 800 block of Guilford College Road after receiving a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle.

Investigators said David Robert Cook, 37, of Jamestown, was riding a 2025 Ducati Panigale V2 motorcycle southbound on Guilford College Road when a 2019 Nissan Rogue attempted to turn left out of a parking lot.

Police identified the driver of the Nissan Rogue as Titus Quentin Foxx, 44, of Greensboro. Authorities say Foxx was attempting to turn north onto Guilford College Road when the vehicle struck Cook’s motorcycle.



Victim Pronounced Dead at the Scene

Emergency medical personnel pronounced Cook dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash. Police said Foxx and a passenger in his vehicle were not injured.

Driver Facing Multiple Charges

Foxx has been charged with:

  • Misdemeanor death by vehicle
  • Failure to yield to a motorcycle, causing serious injury or death
  • Driving while license revoked
  • Possession of an open container


Guilford College Road was closed between Interstate 40 and Sapp Road for nearly four hours while investigators processed the scene.

Police say no additional information is available at this time.
