A tree fell on a home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, while the homeowner, Ray Tomlinson, was inside. The incident occurred during heavy rainfall on September 17, 2024, at his residence on Old Rural Hall Road. Tomlinson reported hearing a loud noise that he initially thought was thunder before discovering part of his roof sagging due to the fallen tree.
According to Ray Tomlinson, the house was built in 1946 and has withstood many storms unfortunately, it couldn’t withstand the storm that rolled through Winston Salem.Ray said while his wife, Cindy was running an errand, he was watching TV at the time the accident happened.
Ray appreciate his maker for sparing his life after the tree fell.
Fortunately, ray bless the lord for no one got hurt,and that he was unharmed. Thanks to Neighbors who provided temporary accommodation in a camper for him , both him and his wife are in safe hands. Ray says crews were scheduled to arrive to remove the tree and restore power to the house.
