GREENSBORO, N.C. — New video obtained by FOX8 shows the alarming moment when an SUV slammed into the back of a stopped school bus Wednesday morning in Greensboro.

Surveillance Video Captures Moment of Impact

The footage, recorded on Montrose Drive, shows the school bus stopped with its lights activated as an SUV approaches from behind. The vehicle does not appear to slow down before crashing directly into the rear of the bus, causing visible damage to both vehicles.

Additional video captured after the collision shows crushed rear panels on the bus, debris on the roadway, and Greensboro police officers arriving to assess the situation.

Students Were On Board During the Crash

According to Guilford County Schools, 13 students were on the bus at the time. The bus was en route to Kiser Middle School for morning pickup when the crash occurred.

School officials did not release information on injuries, but early reports indicate that students were evaluated following the collision.

Police Investigating Cause of the Crash
