
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A 65-year-old woman was killed Friday night after being struck by a vehicle while walking in Winston-Salem, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
Crash Reported on New Walkertown Road
Police say officers responded around 8:33 p.m. to the 2800 block of New Walkertown Road following a report of a pedestrian crash.
At the scene, officers found Sarah Jane Robinson, 65, lying in the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.

What Investigators Know So Far
Investigators say Robinson was walking west in the westbound lanes of New Walkertown Road when she was struck by a pickup truck traveling in the same direction.
The Winston-Salem Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the deadly crash.
